The Shroud of Turin 2025 International Conference & Symposium, hosted by SEEC (Shroud Educational Endeavors Corporation) at the Augustine Institute in Florissant, Missouri, has been hailed as one of the most significant Shroud events in decades. Myra Adam’s blog post captured it perfectly—“epic” hardly begins to describe it.
From July 30 to August 3, over 425 attendees from more than 10 countries—scholars, theologians, scientists, historians, medical experts, and lay enthusiasts—gathered for a transformative week. The event featured:
- 60+ academic presentations and 25 public lectures from 49 speakers.
- A stunning display of the Othonia International Shroud Exhibit, including artifacts from the Museum of the Holy Shroud, the Richard Orareo Collection, and other rare treasures.
- Filming by Trinity Broadcasting Network for a future five-part docuseries, along with a special episode of “Praise.”
Conference Highlights
- Mark Antonacci’s compelling case against the flawed 1988 carbon dating.
- Giulio Fanti’s neutron radiation hypothesis, connecting the Shroud image to the Resurrection.
- César Barta’s evidence linking the Shroud with the Sudarium of Oviedo.
- Russ Breault’s “Seven Secrets of the Sacred Shroud.”
- Janis Winchester’s reminder of the linen’s sacred, priestly purpose—from the tabernacle to the tomb.

The conference wasn’t just academic—it was deeply personal. As Father Andrew Dalton reflected, “You can’t stand in front of the Shroud and not be changed.”
Attendees Rave
Post-event surveys revealed overwhelming praise:
- 85% of full attendees rated presentations 4.5 stars or higher.
- 94% gave the Shroud exhibit a perfect 5-star rating.
- Nearly all respondents called for the conference to be repeated annually or biennially.
One attendee summed it up: “This was one of the best conferences I’ve ever attended—well organized, deeply moving, and intellectually rigorous.”
Conference proceedings and full presentation videos will soon be available at Shroud2025Conference.com.
As SEEC Board Member Guy Powell put it, “This was more than a conference—it was a revival of truth, research, and reverence for the most mysterious artifact in all of human history.”
