At The Shroud of Turin 2025 International Conference & Symposium, four medical and scientific professionals—Dr. Gill Lavoie, Teddi Pappas, Mary Hines, and Dr. Kelly Kearse—came together for a thought-provoking Medical Panel on one of the world’s most studied and mysterious relics: the Shroud of Turin.

Dr. Lavoie, a physician and long-time researcher of the Shroud’s blood markings, shared his decades of analysis tracing the physical details that correspond to the wounds of Jesus Christ. Mary Hines, a medical technologist with over six decades of experience, reflected on her personal encounters with faith and how the Shroud deepened her conviction in the Resurrection.

Teddi Pappas, an attorney and cancer survivor, spoke passionately about how the Shroud’s scientific evidence gave her unwavering confidence in God’s reality. Dr. Kelly Kearse, an immunologist, explored the biological and chemical evidence on the linen, including insights into blood types and molecular structures.

Together, they revealed how the Shroud continues to inspire dialogue between science and spirituality, encouraging both belief and inquiry. The panel concluded that while science offers critical insight, faith completes the picture—uniting heart and intellect in the mystery of the Resurrection.
