Nora Creech (presenter) has been interested in the Shroud of Turin since the 1970s and has extensively studied the shroud.Genevieve Keeney has been with the National Museum of Funeral History (NMFH) in Houston since 2007, first serving as the museum’s Director in 2007 and then as the President/Chief Operating Officer since 2012. She proudly showcases the museum as an educational and cultural resource for all who visit its extensive array of permanent and changing exhibits.
Bill Meacham ON: Archeology & The Shroud of Turin
William Meacham was educated at Tulane University in New Orleans, the Sorbonne in Paris and the Gregorian University of Rome. He has lived in Hong Kong since 1970, first as a short term United Methodist missionary teaching English, later holding positions as an archaeologist at the Hong Kong Museum of History and the Christian Study Centre on Chinese Religion and Culture. He was Editor of the Hong Kong Archaeological Society 1973-85 and Chairman 1985-96.
‘Evidence of a 2,000 Year Old Antiquity’? A Look Into the Shroud of Turin with Michael Kowalski
Michael lives in Halifax, Yorkshire, a town in the North of England. He graduated in Physics at the University of Manchester in 1976, following which he had short 3 year career working in the textile industry with Courtaulds PLC. He subsequently changed careers, joining a multi-national computer company where he worked for thirty seven years, specialising in the development and implementation of banking systems used by many of the UK’s major financial institutions.
Exploring the Spirtual Signifcance of The Shroud of Turin
For this weeks episode we have Joseph Marino, who is one of the preeminent researchers and a long-term Sindonologist on the Shroud of Turin since the 1970s. He has a BA in theological studies from St. Louis University and currently works at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Joseph Marino is also an author, and his latest book is titled, The 1988 C-14 Dating of the Shroud of Turin, A stunning expose.
History on the Sudarium of Oviedo with Dr. Mark Guscin
For this weeks episode we are joined by Dr. Mark Guscin, who received his PhD in History from Royal Holloway, University of London and the University of Oviedo, Spain. He is a professional translator and interpreter, he is also the author of various history books in English and Spanish. He is here to discuss his book The History of the Sudarium of Oviedo, which “The Oviedo Sudarium is a little known object that has been in Spain since the early seventh century.
Quite apart from the debate as to whether it could be the sudarium mentioned in the gospel of John, the cloth forms part of the history of Spain and the Pilgrims Road to Santiago. Oviedo was a frequent detour on the route to Compostela, precisely so that pilgrims could visit the Sudarium (or at least the ark it was kept in) and other articles that had come from Jerusalem at the time of the Persian invasion in AD 614″ (Google Books). Interview With Andrew Casper
On this weeks episode on the Backstory on the Shroud of Turin we have Andrew Casper joining us to talk about his book An Artful Relic: The Shroud of Turin in Baroque Italy. It recently won the Roland H. Bainton Book Prize by the Sixteenth Century Society for best book history of art and music. Andrew R. Casper is Associate Professor of Renaissance and Baroque Art History at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he specializes in late sixteenth and seventeenth-century religious imagery in Italy. His research on the Shroud of Turin has resulted in numerous works of scholarship and he is a former Fulbright fellow and holds a BA from the University of Michigan and an MA and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.
Interview With Giulio Fanti
Giulio Fanti is associate professor of mechanical and thermal measurements at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Padua, Italy. Since 1997 he has directed his interest to the Shroud, especially with reference to the still scientifically inexplicable body image impressed on it. Prof. Fanti was responsible for university research projects concerning the most important relic of Christianity and has headed for more than 15 years the Shroud Science Group, consisting of more than 100 dedicated scientists. He has published more than 200 scientific articles in international journals and has authored 10 books and over 80 scientific articles on the Shroud.
Interview With Robert Siefker: No Music Version
Welcome to my interview with Robert Siefker, an engineer and an expert on the Shroud of Turin; where we talk about Siefker’s work with the Shroud of Turin and The Holy Fire. Siefker was brought up in California and attended UCLA on a Navy scholarship with a major in engineering. After his nearly five years of Naval service he worked in the software industry eventually serving as a VP for two software companies, the second being in Colorado.
It was in Colorado that he became an associate of the Turin Shroud Center of Colorado (TSC), headed by Dr. John Jackson, who was the leader of the 1978 Shroud of Turin Research Project. Siefker was the co-author and editor of the TSC book on the Shroud entitled The Shroud of Turin: A Critical Summary of the Observations , Data and Hypotheses. Most recently he has been involved in research on the so-called Miracle of the Holy Fire, a phenomena that occurs every year at the tomb of Christ in the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem on Orthodox Holy Saturday.
Interview with Dale Glover
Dale Glover is a Real Seeker, I’m someone who sincerely wants to know the truth about what our ultimate purpose is in creation. For about 10 years he researched the various positive and negative evidences for and against various religions. As of May 5th 2018, he finally discovered the truth of Christianity (using Bayes Theorem he was 53.14% confident) and so he repented of his sins and placed his faith in Christ that very day.
Subsequent to his coming to faith, he shared his faith as the Christian xo-host of the Skeptics and Seekers podcast for 2 years before branching out on his own to host his new Podcast Real Seekers. Outside of podcasting, Dale is a philosopher, having just graduated with a Masters in Philosophy from Ryerson University in June of 2022, his interests range from everything to existence of God to Evil God Challenge to the Shroud of Turin.
